Mollie's hot house flower

So we get home from work on Saturdy and Winnie throws up her breakfast. This is really the first indication I have that something is amiss. It appears that she threw up her entire breakfast .. poor kid. She is laying low and being mellow and I am hoping this is a fluke and her sleeping so much is because she played so much today. They we go out and she is clearly ill (liquid diarrhea).
This goes on through the evening - she threw up 5x and had several episodes of diarrhea. BTW she ate lamb primal for breakfast. She seems letharigic and I can really hear her stomach grumbling....she just lies on the floor.

She slept through the night which really surprised me. Luckily Sunday is a day off for me so I can really keep an eye on her. Seems maybe a tad bit better. I offer her some chicken and rice for breakfast which she scarfed down. She still has the runs though. = (

I check her temp and it is normal at 100.8. She is now refusing ALL full - actively avoiding it infact. I put down a bowl of broth and she actually got up and moved away from it. She seems more lethargic and very uncomfortable so I call SFVS and they recommend that I bring her in.

When we get there Winnie recognize it.... she was very wary and skittish. The Doc on call is an SF/SPCA doc. The lobby is empty but we still wait for about 20 minutes.
When we get in to see teh Vet he seems very concerned - wants to take xrays etc in case she may have ingested something. Tim comes by after work to hang with me but he arrives just as I am cleared to leave. They are going to keep her over night and get her on IV fluids, anti-vomit and anti-diarrhea meds.

I hear nothing all night... I wait until 9am as instructed and call but I am told that the Doctor will have to call me back. A nurse call - the doc is too busy- she says Winnie is better (no vomitting or diarrhea) and the giardia test was negative. She doesn't know about the xrays.
Less t han an hour later I get another call - this is another nurse with an update. My heart sunk until I realized that she was making the same update calls as the first gal and that nothing had changed with Winnie. They wanted to offer her canned I/D at 1pm. I said that she might not tolerate it well so the first gal said that I could bring boiled chicken, rice and cottage cheese by and offer it myself. I was told that they were planning to keep her at least until 5pm.

Deirdre picked me up and we went down there just before 1pm. They put us in a room and we waited for about 20 minutes...they were slammed with emergencies = (

Winnie was finally brought it and she ran straight to D and danced around. She was SO excited to see her Auntie. I offered her the chicken but she did NOT want it, i offered rice and again she refused. I tried the cottage cheese which she like so I let her eat a little. I dunked some chicken in the cottage cheese and she ate that too. We took her out for a little walk and she peed.

We were there for about an hour and they finally released her. Last night I felt "broken down" and didn't tell them they could not shave her leg so she has a huge naked chunk in her right front leg. = ( Oh well......................

We brought her home - she is still clearly not feeling well. She ate a little chicken/rice/coittage cheese for dinner and even managed to harass Dolce a little. She had 1 episode of diarrhea so far........ fingers crossed that this is *just* gastroenteritis and she is NOT partially obstructed.

She seems much more chipper this morning but she did not poop yet. She also hasn't thrown her dinner up yet so there is still hope = )

I hear nothing all night
