Well beautiful Winnie slept through Christmas. She did eat a little breakfast and a little lunch but by dinner time was refusing everything except a little canned tripe.
All day she slept in the middle of the kitchen floor. No vomiting. I think she only had 1 or 2 bowel movements in the am and the 2nd was showed slight (very slight) improvement. Ginny took both dogs for a walk which they seemed to enjoy but were both clearly glad to get back home and find us still here. In the morning she ate her pill in a pill pocket.
After dinner I pilled her with her metronidazole and a 1/4 tab of pepcid because she doesn't want the pill pockets. She seemed perkier and played for an a fwe minutes with me before bed.
She woke me up just before 2am and had a bout of 99% liquid diarrhea. I woke up at 6am to her coughing which is what she sounds like when she vomits. She didn't throw up much.... but it did look like the ground up chicken and rice and perhaps that Evo cookie that Deirdre got her to eat.
Now I am losing hope that it is "just" gastroenteritis.
Dr. Stewert said to bring her in if she threw up so I think I will take her by on my way to work.....perhaps after I burst in to tears a few times.
