Details, details

So Winnie as I mentioned in the last post W was put on Flagyl, Eukanuba Low-Res Puppy kibble and Pepcid. Her stomach seems better. (This morning she had 2 perfect stools and 1 formed but soft one). The drinking and peeing is not better.

According to her urinalysis her specific gravity was 1.034 (I think) which is apparently in the "grey area" but her white blood cell count was really high - something like 20 per view and it should be closer to 3 the vet said.(from memory so who knows)?!

With the exception of the drinking and inappropriate urination she seems "normal" and looks GREAT! = )

Yesterday we went through 5 towels (she wet them and continued to lie on them). Today I am going to put a towel only in her crate and a pee pad on the floor and see what happens. The pee pad might not work though because she likes to sleep on them and she shredded the last one I gave her at work.

A few more things to add to the Winnie to-do list:
  • Have someone take her from me, give her treats and bring her back ( like trip to back for blood draw) (new situation)
  • Hand her to someone in a new situation and have them treat her
So last night I picked up her Clavamox for the UTI and she had blood drawn. She was apparently very wiggly and NOT coorperative and tried hard to prevent their work. Poor Winnie. The blood is going to be checked for her kidney and liver details.

She slept from about 11pm-5:30am and I tooker her out to thr bathroom - she peed & pooped. Her crate was dry. I put her back in and we slept for another 2 hours...her crate was again dry but I thought I felt some moisture on her legs. licking?

For 1/3 of her breakfast I worked on getting her to lie on her side prompted by gentle pressure from my hand. We also worked on brushing. She did well but we need more work like that.
