Well Winnie now quickly and skillfully scales out of her pen each time she is put in unless you remain in the kitchen with her. If you stay in the kitchen she paces restlessly in her pen. I hope to borrow or buy a taller one because she is NO where near ready to be loose in the kitchen. She jumped out of her pen at some point last night while we were at a TIC meeting. She didn't destroy anything that I noticed but she did pee a huge puddle on the floor.
We had a good lesson with Denise yesterday morning. W was nervous in the new environment at first so we let her off leash to check things out. Then we worked position changes with food - they were a bit slow. I got our her leather tug and she forgot all about the new environment. We played and worked on short bits of heeling.
Everyone keep commenting on how big she is getting.....in the last few days I haven't noticed any of her crazy growth spurts which is kind of nice.
Thursday Kim used W as one of the dogs in a small dog playgroup at worl - W did really well I thought.
Thursday I also had the opportunity to do some big dog work with Akinshe (akita/bloodhound type dog). We started off at about 10' and he was laying down facing away from Winnie. I let her sneak up at her pace while Anissa kept the big boy entertained. Next they heeled around the lobby and we followed them - Winnie sniffed his hocks a lot. We did more set ups and variations and within 10 minutes she was very comfortable - no play solicitation though.
Today (Friday) Winnie spent the entire day at Shura's. SHURA ROCKS!!!!!!!!
