Raw fed dogs (TMI) and being thankful for what you have

Tim came home late (or early depending on your p.o.v.). Winnie, Dolce and I had gone to bed at about 9:45pm.

Back to the point - he got home around 1:30am. My puppy friend got me up at 1:40 for her first pee of the night. I took her out and set her in her Poodle potty and she peed within 15 seconds.
Back into the crate and back to bed. She fussed for a minute or so but I ignored her.

She fussed at some point again later but I ignored her then too.

She got up (started in with BIG fussing) at 5:45am.

I think she is starting to fuss in cycles while in her crate......

(fuuuuuuuuss, pause....is Mollie coming?......fuuuuuuuuuuSSSSSSS, pause....is she coming?!, F_U_S_SS!!!!, pause.....that must be her.......fffffuuss, fuss??, pause.....

you get the idea.

My point you are wondering I am sure....

SHE SLEPT FOR FOUR HOURS!!

I got her up since my alarm was going to go off at 6am anyway. Took her out and she actually peed. right away!. Brought her in and we played for a few minutes. I gave her some breakfast. Really *should* have done some training but didn't. She ate some breakfast but she no longer LOVES her kibble. She does already react to the noise of crumpling plastic baggies (her bag of dog food is in a big ziplock as an anti-ant measure).

For some reason I resent the whole "dog food" label. I find it odd but it really irritates me when people differentiate between "dog food" and "people food". I think that the recent recalls demonstrate that there really isn't much difference after all!!!

For the few that have been following WInnie's G.I. tract details - see below. The rest of you sign off now.

Last night at 7:40 I have her 3/4 of a Primal chicken nugget. defrosted.
She LOVED it and ate is as quickly as she could lick it out of the stainless bowl.

no gurgling sounds last night and no passing of gas that I noticed. She wasn't noticeably fussy either. Since Primal has a high water content I pulled her water at 8pm.

This morning after we played for about 10 min she got distracted from play so I scooped her up and took her out thinking she might need to poop. She did and it was a better stool.....so no gnarly affects from the raw. = )
